5 films for Croydon College

Croydon College has around 13,000 students studying for a wide variety of A-levels, degrees, vocational qualifications and more. It's also the only provider of higher education between Brighton and London's South Bank.


Deadline was asked to produce a suite of five-minute films promoting various aspects of the college to different audiences (at time of writing we're making our seventh film for Croydon College). Each film therefore needed to be unique not just in terms of content, but also style, tone and pace. Deadline achieved this using a range of graphical treatments, voiceovers and visual styles whilst unifying the series with a common opening sequence.

The series includes a corporate overview (for stakeholders, education authorities etc), a promo for the Sixth Form College (aimed at schoolchildren considering further study), the Skills and Enterprise College (talking to employers), and the Higher Education College (addressing mature students).

The fifth film is used as a tool for welcoming and orientating all new Croydon College students.
